Foreign investments continue to increase in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is attracting more and more foreign investments. Last week, the Chinese company Da Fu opened a new plant for the production of metallurgical structures in Yangiyul district of Tashkent region.

A total of $2 million was invested in the project. The facility has a production capacity of 500 tonnes of metal structures and can produce an additional 400 tonnes of products. The additional products will be sold both in the domestic market and exported.

In 2024, it is planned to attract $ 50.7 million in foreign direct investment and loans.

In January-March 2024, Uzbekistan attracted more than $ 8.453 billion in capital investments, of which foreign investments accounted for almost 70%.

The leader in investments was China, which invested 23% of the total volume. China was followed by Russia with 13.8 % and Turkey with 8.5 %.
