Flat steel imports of Türkiye decreased by 11.6% in January-March period

SteelRadar data compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) showed that Türkiye's flat steel imports decreased by 11.6% yoy during March 2024, from 901,828 tons to 797,445 tons. Compared to the previous month, it increased by 42.4%.

Total flat steel imports in January-March 2024 period decreased by 9.3% yoy from 2 million 298 thousand 974 tons to 2 million 085 thousand 082 tons.

In March, Türkiye imported the highest amount of flat steel from China with 333,708.3 tons, followed by South Korea with 150,524.8 tons, Russia with 110,941.6 tons, France with 31,687.4 tons and Belgium with 29,967.3 tons.
