According to the company, there were no casualties or injuries reported. The power outage has affected operations at the Group’s key subsidiaries — Ferrexpo Poltava Mining (FPM) and Ferrexpo Yeristovo Mining (FYM).
Ferrexpo stated that it had previously built up stocks of intermediary and finished iron ore products at various locations to minimize disruption to its production and export cycles. Over the weekend, partial power supply was restored to both mining units, allowing certain sections of the processing plant to resume activity. Restoration efforts are ongoing.
The company noted that this situation follows a rise in the frequency and intensity of attacks targeting Ukraine’s energy generation and transmission systems in recent months. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
