As September begins, the Far East steel market is seeing expectations of a seasonal recovery in demand in China, while weakness in the real estate sector and high raw material costs are limiting price increases. In India, capacity expansion and green transition investments are accelerating, while steel inventories are decreasing and prices are increasing in Japan. In South Korea, Türkiye and Australia, CBAM, high value-added steel and new EAF investments are coming to the forefront.
