The project will be realized in Lombardy, one of Italy's most industrialized regions, in an area that includes Milan.
The company had previously successfully manufactured pipes for transporting hydrogen mixed natural gas. With this new project, Erciyas Boru will undertake the production of pipes with 100% hydrogen transportation capacity for the first time in Türkiye, the fourth in Europe and, as far as is known, one of the top five producers in the world.
Developed in full compliance with the European Union's energy transition policies, the project is considered as an important step towards the goal of strengthening the continent's hydrogen infrastructure. The pipes to be produced by Erciyas Boru will have features suitable for the safe and efficient transmission of hydrogen gas and will fully comply with the relevant European norms.
Production activities within the scope of the tender are expected to start in 2025, and deliveries will be realized gradually.
