Egypt's rebar prices show stability amid minor increases in market

The Egyptian rebar market has undergone significant changes in pricing between late February and mid-March 2025, as highlighted in the latest report by SteelRadar. While some manufacturers have held their prices steady, others have implemented notable reductions.

Leading producers like Ezz Steel, Suez Steel, Egyptian Steel, and Beshay have maintained stable prices of 38,200 EGP/MT (USD 753/MT) as of both 28 February and 16 March 2025. Similarly, companies like El Marakby, Madina Steel, Al Garhy, and Al Ashry Steel have shown no price movements, with their rates averaging between 35,000 and 36,000 EGP/MT (USD  700–710/MT).

Conversely, several companies have adjusted their prices downward, reflecting shifts in market dynamics. Among these, Al Komy has recorded one of the most significant price drops, reducing its rates by USD 22/MT to 32,300 EGP/MT (USD 637/MT). Other firms, including Misr Steel, El Ola Steel, and Midi Steel, have also decreased prices by USD 14–20/MT, with their prices now ranging between 31,800 and 32,500 EGP/MT.

This downward price trend has spread across multiple producers, with notable decreases also observed at Antar Steel, Al Gyoshi Steel, Al Arabeya Steel, Stars Steel and October Steel.

The decreases range from USD 14/MT to USD 16/MT, bringing their rates to the range of 32,000–32,700 EGP/MT (USD 627–641/MT). These shifts highlight the dynamic and competitive nature of Egypt's rebar market.
