In the past week, Egypt's rebar market has shown stability with prices maintaining a range between 38,000 and 40,700 ($780- 836) Egyptian pounds per metric ton.
Among the major producers;
Positioned at the top end of the spectrum, Ezz Steel set its rebar price at EGP 40,700 ($836). A close competitor, Suez Steel followed suit with a price of EGP 40,500 ($830). Bishay Steel aligned its offering at EGP 40,700 ($836). Positioned at a mid-range price point, El Marakby Steel priced its rebar at EGP 39,000 ($779). Maintaining competitive rates, Egyptian Steel quoted EGP 40,600 for its rebar.Ashry Steel, Garhy Steel, and Misr Steel all offered their rebar at EGP 38,500. El Komy Steel, El Ola Steel, and Al Gioshy Steel emerged as the most budget-friendly options, pricing their rebar at EGP 38,000.
Several producers, including Garhy Steel, Misr Steel, El Komy Steel, El Ola Steel, and Al Gioshy Steel, aligned their prices at 38,000 EGP per ton. Misr Steel saw a modest uptick, adding EGP 250 to its previous figures. El Ola Steel’s rates rose by EGP 300. El Komy Steel faced a slight downturn, reducing its price by EGP 250. Al Gioshy Steel decreased its rate by EGP 500. This pricing structure reflects a competitive yet stable market environment for rebar in Egypt, influenced by production costs, demand dynamics, and global steel market trends. Investors and industry stakeholders continue to monitor these price movements closely for insights into economic stability and future market directions.
