News Text: Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly visited the Ain Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, part of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, to inaugurate the “Qing Shan” steel pipe factory, established through TEDA Egypt’s investment.
Lin Cheng Jia, Chairman of the Board of the factory, provided details on the facility’s production capacity and operations. The factory, covering an area of 25,000 square meters, represents a $4.5 million investment and produces approximately 17,000 tons of metal products annually, providing 120 direct job opportunities. Its production capacity includes 100,000 tons of stainless steel pipes, 4,800 tons of stainless steel sheets, and 2,400 tons of metal furniture per year.
During the inauguration, Dr. Madbouly emphasized that the factory is part of ongoing efforts to localize metal industries, which are a cornerstone of several production sectors. He highlighted that the factory specializes in the production of welded and drawn steel pipes, pipe accessories, metal furniture, as well as shaping and cutting all types of sheet and stainless steel products.
Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, noted that the factory enhances the industrial diversity within the zone and reinforces investor confidence. He added that the world-class infrastructure and utilities developed by the Authority play a key role in the successful establishment of such large-scale projects.
