Egypt announces anti-dumping duty decision

The Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry has made the decision to extend the application of the anti-dumping tax on rebar, a measure that has been in effect since 2017. The extension will go beyond the original timeline and continue beyond June of this year. Among the anti-dumping products are rebar as well as coiled sheet and wire rod.

According to the statement published in Official Gazette number 122, the extension period for the anti-dumping duty decision on the import of these products from China, Turkey, and Ukraine has been set at 4 years.

The tax rates for these products continue to vary among the respective countries. In China, the tax rate remains at 29%. In Turkey, the tax rate ranges from 2% to 22%, depending on the specific company involved. For Ukraine, the tax rate falls within the range of 17% to 27%.
