Ağar, speaking to an Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter in Antalya, Türkiye where he was attending the “BAİB Export Stars Award Ceremony” organized by the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association (BAİB) said that the Western Mediterranean holds an important position in terms of exports.Recalling that exporters from Antalya, Burdur, and Isparta were honored, Ağar drew attention to the share of these three provinces in exports.
Emphasizing the significant success achieved in exports, Ağar said, “Antalya is an extremely important city in terms of tourism, services, exports, and logistics.”
Recalling that Türkiye achieved goods exports worth USD261.8 billion in 2024, Ağar noted that the annualized goods exports over the past 12 months have exceeded USD270 billion. He stated that goods exports reached USD270.6 billion in the January–November period and added that the 2025 export figures would be evaluated at a ceremony in Istanbul on January 3, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, where the service export figures would also be shared with the public.
Ağar noted that Türkiye also recorded a trade surplus in service exports, stating that annualized service exports amounted to USD122.5 billion in the January–November period. He added that, as of November, total goods and service exports reached USD393.1 billion and stated that , “Our goal is to surpass the current figures by a significant margin in 2026.”
