Construction cost index increased

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the construction cost index data for the December 2023 period.

Accordingly, the index increased by 1.94 percent in December compared to the previous month and by 67.31 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

On a monthly basis, the material index increased by 2.05 percent and the labor index increased by 1.67 percent. On an annual basis, the material index increased by 54.26 percent and the labor index increased by 111.83 percent.

Material index increased by 52.72 percent, labor index increased by 111.62 percent

The building construction cost index increased by 2.2 percent in December 2023 compared to the previous month and by 66.42 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 2.46 percent and the labor index increased by 1.58 percent. In addition, the material index increased by 52.72 percent and the labor index increased by 111.62 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

The construction cost index for non-building structures increased by 1.13 percent in December 2023 compared to the previous month and by 70.28 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to November 2023, the material index increased by 0.83 percent and the labor index increased by 2 percent. In addition, the material index increased by 59.18 percent and the labor index increased by 112.63 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
