China's pipe exports increase in January-July period

China's pipe exports increased by 3.4% yoy in January-July 2024.

China's pipe exports increase in January-July period

China's seamless pipe exports in July decreased by 7.1% year-on-year and 20.3% month-on-month to 413,132 tons, according to data released by SteelRadar from the International Trade Center (ITC).

Compared to the same period last year, China's January-July 2024 seamless pipe exports decreased by 9.6% from 3,425,418 tons to 3,097,190 tons.

Exports of welded pipe increased by 12.3% year-on-year in July while decreasing by 3.3% month-on-month.

In January-July 2024, China's welded pipe exports increased by 21.4% year-on-year from 2,478,638 tons to 3,010,016 tons.

Total pipe exports increased by 1.8% in the said month compared to the same month last year, while they increased by 3.4% in the 7-month period of 2024.

The United Arab Emirates topped China's steel pipe exports with 404,779 tons, followed by South Korea with 201,944 tons.
