According to information shared by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), a significant decrease in pig iron production was recorded among China's leading steel producers at the beginning of December.
The decrease in question decreased by 3.21% compared to late November 2023. In addition, a 4.19% decrease in average daily crude steel production was recorded.
In particular, a significant increase of 8.82% was recorded in steel product inventories. At the beginning of December, these inventories reached a level of approximately 14.1 million tons compared to late November.
