China's July 2024 hot rolled coil (HRC) imports decreased by 42.4% yoy to 48,136 tons from 83,523 tons, according to data compiled by SteelRadar from the International Trade Centre (ITC).
Total HRC imports in the January-July period decreased by 20% year-on-year from 416,248 tons to 332,975 tons.
In January-July, Japan was the largest importer of HRC with 220,835 tons, followed by South Korea with 95,942 tons, Taiwan with 9,291 tons, Germany with 4,527 tons and Kazakhstan with 1,178 tons.
