China to change coal import duties as of April, 2023

As of April the 1st, 2023, coking coal import tariffs will increase by 3% and coking coal tax by 6%.

According to the data for the January-November period of 2022, China imported 57.4 million tons of coking coal, an increase of 21.53% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Total imports were from Mongolia and Russia, which accounted for 37.6% and 33.7%, respectively.
