Prices in the Türkiye rebar market have started to move upward. Producers are readjusting their prices amid cost pressures and a weak sales pace, while demand on the export side remains low.
Türkiye-origin rebar export prices were assessed at $540/ton FOB Türkiye as of November 4 and have remained stable in recent days. No significant changes have been observed in export offers due to weak demand.
In the domestic market, prices vary by region. In the İzmir region, prices remain stable at around $540/ton, while in the Marmara region, ex-works prices are around $570/ton. Although İçdaş officially announced its price at $565/ton, market sources report that most actual purchases are taking place at around $560/ton. In the İskenderun region, one producer has increased its prices to $560/ton.
In the Payas region, producers have redefined size differences for 28–32 mm diameters.
At Tosyalı, a +500 TL size difference has been applied for 28–30–32 mm diameters.
Ekinciler Demir Çelik has made a similar adjustment, effective from December 3, 2025. The new price list was announced as follows:
- 12–26 mm: 28,300 TL
- 28–32 mm: 28,800 TL
- 10 mm: 29,600 TL
- 8 mm: 29,900 TL
Market participants note that producers have gradually started to raise prices over the past two days, but this should not yet be interpreted as a sign of strong recovery. One source stated, “There is a gradual upward movement in prices, but this does not mean there is real market revival. For now, producers are more focused on maintaining their positions.”
Meanwhile, Kardemir A.Ş. opened billet sales on November 5, 2025, keeping its prices unchanged.
- 150x150x6–12 m (S235JR): $500/ton
- 150x150x6–12 m (S420-B420): $510/ton
Despite keeping prices stable, the company closed its sales in a short time due to strong demand. Approximately 74,000 tons were sold. According to obtained information, some of the sales were as follows:
-
Yolbulan – 14.000 ton
-
Erhaller – 15.000 ton
-

Market players say Kardemir’s rapid sales may provide psychological support to the domestic market, though it does not necessarily imply a quick price increase. A producer representative said, “Kardemir’s sales show that buyers have started to take positions again. However, supply is still limited, and demand remains cautious. Therefore, it will take a few more days to see whether the price movement will be sustainable.”
In the İzmir region, a short-term revival in the domestic market could occur if prices continue to rise. However, market participants emphasize that for this movement to gain continuity, prices need to trend in the same direction for several days.
Another participant said, “The direction currently seems upward, but to understand whether the movement is sustainable, it will be necessary to monitor the major producers’ pricing policies over the next few days.”
