Capacity utilization rate decreased to 74.1% in January

Capacity utilization in the manufacturing industry declined in January. According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT), the unadjusted capacity utilization rate decreased by 0.3% points month-on-month to 74.1% in January.

Based on responses collected from 1,752 manufacturing establishments as part of the CBRT’s Business Tendency Survey, the seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate increased by 0.2% points compared to the previous month, reaching 74.4%.

While the capacity utilization rate fluctuated between 73.5% and 75.0% on a monthly basis throughout 2025, it started 2026 at 74.1% in January.
