Brazil's ferrous scrap exports decreased in May

In May 2023, Brazil's ferrous scrap exports amounted to about 56,600 tons, down 31.3% from April but increasing by 116% compared to May 2022.

In January-May 2023, Brazil's total ferrous scrap exports increased by 41% yoy to around 307,700 tons.

Brazil's ferrous scrap imports were around 1,200 tons in May, increasing by 76.1% y-o-y and decreasing by 33% compared to May of the previous year.

In January-May 2023, Brazil's ferrous scrap imports decreased by 33% yoy to 9,500 tons in January-May.
