BORU Hatları ile Petrol Taşıma A.Ş. (BOTAŞ) announced that "as of May 1, 2023, wholesale natural gas prices used in industry have been reduced by 52.43% to 63.63% based on October 2022 prices."

In a written statement issued by BOTAŞ, it was stated that "our wholesale natural gas prices are determined at the most reasonable level possible, taking into account market conditions, the country's economic conditions, market price stability, decisions of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority regarding tariffs, and changes in the cost component of procurement and operating expenses, and are offered to consumers. In this context, there has been no change in the wholesale natural gas prices that will be valid as of May 1, 2023.

On the other hand, based on October 2022 prices, there has been a reduction of 52.43% to 63.63% in the wholesale natural gas prices used in industry as of May 1, 2023, and a reduction of 51.52% in the wholesale natural gas prices used for electricity generation.
