BlueScope Steel has decided to acquire the coil coating business from Cornerstone Building Brands to strengthen the company's commercial development in the United States. The company will spend US$500 million to acquire the Coil Coatings business from US manufacturer Cornerstone Building Brands.
According to sources, BlueScope Chief Executive Mark Vassella wants to expand BlueScope's portfolio in the U.S. to the downside.
