One of the most significant global gatherings of the recycling and raw materials industry, the BIR World Recycling Convention & Exhibition 2026, is set to bring together industry leaders, traders, recyclers and solution providers in Gothenburg from 1 to 3 June 2026. The event will take place at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre – Gothia Towers.
Organised by the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), the convention aims to address key developments in global recycling markets, international trade dynamics, sustainability policies and future industry trends. SteelRadar will participate in the event as an official media partner, providing industry coverage and insights throughout the convention.
The three-day programme will feature plenary sessions, technical presentations, an exhibition area and extensive networking opportunities. According to BIR, following the record attendance achieved in 2025, the 2026 edition is expected to attract more than 2,000 delegates from across the global recycling value chain.
Participants will also be able to use the event’s digital platform to connect with other delegates in advance and schedule one-to-one meetings. In addition, exhibition and sponsorship opportunities will offer companies increased international visibility and direct access to key decision-makers.
Early-bird registration is currently available for a limited period, with special accommodation rates offered at selected hotels connected to the venue.
