BENTELER Steel/Tube is modernizing its existing CARTA® automation system with SMS group’s advanced CARTA®neo SRM technology to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
The CARTA®neo SRM system will replace outdated hardware and software components, ensuring long-term system reliability. Additionally, it will resolve issues related to spare parts and technical support. With the new scanner-based architecture, BENTELER will have easier access via devices like PCs and tablets.
The new technology will make production processes more transparent while optimizing data collection and analysis processes. This will lead to more efficient production processes, better utilization of resources, and the early detection of potential errors.
The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. This investment is expected to reinforce the long-term partnership between BENTELER and SMS group, while continuing to supply high-quality seamless pipes to the automotive, energy, and industrial sectors.
