AST will stop production

AST (Acciai Speciali Terni), the only integrated stainless steel producer in Italy, has decided to cease production from 19 July to 23 August 2023.

The facility has a steel production capacity of approximately 1.5 million tons per year.

It is expected that prices will decrease further and there will be difficult days in the European stainless steel market in August.
