ArcelorMittal’s Hamburg plant will suply low carbon emission wire rod produced on the basis of scrap and renewable electricity to German Waelzholz. The first 20 tons of wire rod was delivered to Waelzholz's Hagen cold rolled steelmaking plant.
Waelzholz was the first company in the cold rolling industry to implement a verified process to calculate the carbon footprint of products for each material variation.
