An air separation plant has been opened at the Pangpet steel mill in Myanmar

The oxygen and nitrogen-producing air separation plant at the Pangpet No. 2 Steel Mill in Taunggyi city, Shan State, Myanmar, has entered commercial operation. The facility aims to support iron smelting processes and contribute to the country’s steel production capacity.

The oxygen and nitrogen production plant was designed to enhance the mill’s efficiency, and test operations have been completed. The efforts of local and foreign engineers involved in the project have ensured the safe and effective operation of the facility.

With the commissioning of the plant, the production capacity of Pangpet No. 2 Steel Mill is expected to increase, contributing to industrial development in the region. Work is also continuing to complete the remaining units at the mill.
