The number of countries and bonded zones to which EİB exported in the January - June period of 2024 was 207.
While Germany ranked first with exports worth USD 851 million, the members of the Aegean Exporters' Associations succeeded in exporting USD 792 million to the United States of America. Goods exports to Italy, which ranked third, amounted to USD 549 million. These countries were followed by the United Kingdom with 456 million dollars of exports and Spain with 419 million dollars of exports.
Exports worth USD 379 million were realized to the Netherlands, which has always been at the forefront of the Aegean Region's exports. France imported USD 366 million from Aegean exporters. While the Russian Federation ranked eighth with USD 258 million, exports from EİB to the People's Republic of China increased by 19% from USD 211 million to USD 252 million and became the ninth country with the highest exports. Romania took the 10th place in the list. Exports to Romania increased by 24% from USD 192 million to USD 225.6 million.
While the exports of the Aegean Exporters' Associations to the first 10 countries amounted to USD 4 billion 550 million, more than 50% of EİB's total exports were realized to 10 countries.
Germany is the export leader in 7 sectors, USA in 5, China, Italy and Austria in 2 sectors
In addition to being the country with the highest exports within the Aegean Exporters' Associations, Germany was the country with the highest exports in the iron and metals, leather and leather products, hazelnuts and hazelnut products, ready-to-wear clothing and apparel, air conditioning, machinery and components and vehicle sub-industry sectors.
Cement, glass, ceramics and earth products, carpets, furniture, paper and forestry products, fruit and vegetable products, olive and olive oil sectors exported the most to the United States.
While Italy made Aegean exporters happy in the chemicals and chemical products and aquaculture and animal products sectors, the People's Republic of China was the leading export market for the mining and textile and raw materials sectors. In the ship and yacht and defense industry sectors, Aegean exporters exported the most to Austria.
Triple-digit export growth to Morocco, Syria and Kyrgyzstan
Members of the Aegean Exporters' Associations achieved a triple-digit export growth rate to Morocco, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Panama, Argentina and Paraguay between January and June 2025.
Aegean exporters, who exported USD 92 million to Morocco in the first half of 2024, exported USD 200 million to Morocco with an increase of 118% in the same period of 2025. While USD 12.8 million worth of exports were made from EİB to Syria in the January - June period of 2024, USD 25.8 million worth of exports were realized with a record increase of 102% in 2025. Exports to Kyrgyzstan increased by 178% from USD 3.6 million to USD 10 million, and exports to Argentina increased by 100% from USD 4 million to USD 8 million.
In the first half of 2025, the members of the Aegean Exporters' Associations also achieved significant export increases to countries such as Belize, Aruba, Netherlands Antilles, Guinea, Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritus, Mayotte, Benin, which many of us do not know where on the map.
