ADMİB achieved USD 1.4 billion in exports in the first half of the year

Türkiye's ferrous and non-ferrous metals and steel sector reached a total export volume of USD 14.8 billion in the first six months of 2025.

ADMİB achieved USD 1.4 billion in exports in the first half of the year

During this period, the Mediterranean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association (ADMİB) recorded exports of USD 1.4 billion dollars.

ADMİB President Fuat Tosyalı stated in his assessment of the June export data that despite the challenging conditions in the global economy, the sector maintained its stability in production and exports. Tosyalı emphasized that efforts toward sustainable growth are continuing with determination.

Stating that they are focusing on efforts that will shape the future of the iron and steel sector, Tosyalı noted that they view regulations aimed at reducing carbon footprints not as a burden on the sector, but as an opportunity for transformation. Tosyalı stated that ADMİB is guiding its members through this transformation process and offering incentive mechanisms, adding that the USD 1.4 billion in exports recorded in the first half of the year has laid a solid foundation for achieving year-end targets.

Tosyalı stated that they will focus on the export of higher value-added products in the second half of the year and will continue their efforts to achieve success in new markets.

On the other hand, Tosyalı pointed out that efforts to increase exports are continuing and emphasized the importance of protecting domestic industry against dumped products from abroad. Tosyalı stated that measures to increase production capacity and export competitiveness must continue.
