A €47.3 million solar power plant (SPP) agreement in Romania from Defic Globe, a subsidiary of Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endüstri A.Ş.

A €47.3 million solar power plant (SPP) agreement in Romania from Yeo’s subsidiary Defic Globe

A binding Letter of Intent (EPC-conditional Term Sheet) has been signed for the sale to Enda Enerji Holding A.Ş. of companies that own solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 54 MWp, developed across three separate sites in Romania by DEFIC Globe Enerji A.Ş., in which Yeo holds a 51% stake, along with integrated energy storage systems with a total capacity of 80 MWh. The agreement also covers the turnkey construction of the facilities.

The total contract value has been announced as €47.3 million. In addition to turnkey construction, the agreement includes development activities such as capacity allocation, land acquisition, and the procurement of all necessary permits and licenses. It has been stated that the contract will enter into force once the power plants are ready for installation.

Under the agreement, engineering services, the installation of high-voltage substations, the construction of energy transmission lines, and the turnkey installation of the energy storage systems will be carried out by group companies. The energy storage systems to be used in the project will be supplied by Reap Battery A.Ş., a group company.
