A statement was made about the death toll in the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that occurred in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş on February 6 in Turkey.
AFAD President Sezer reported that the number of those who lost their lives in the earthquakes was 50 thousand 96 and the number of those injured was 107 thousand 204.
The number of people arrested in investigations into buildings that collapsed or were found to be in violation of zoning in the provinces affected by the earthquakes also increased to 298.
