Zaporizhstal modernized its hot rolling mills with an investment of 9.8 million UAH

In the first phase, new rolls were installed on the horizontal roll stand of the Slabbing 1150 line, and its hydraulic system was repaired. The stand units, separate sections of the roller tables, and the gearbox were also restored.

Critical interventions on the BTLS-1680 line
On the BTLS-1680 line, the gearbox and shaft units of stand No. 2 were replaced. The drive line and gear roll of one of the stands were renewed, while the coil box was partially repaired and the coiler units along with the chains of the roller table were restored.

Completed ahead of schedule with expert teams
In addition to the plant’s own expert teams, hydraulic specialists from Kametstal also took part in the repair works. The planned work was completed ahead of schedule, and the next phase of the modernization process is planned to begin in the autumn.
