Wire rod imports of Türkiye decreased by 45.4% in January-May period

SteelRadar compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) showed that Türkiye's wire rod imports in May 2024 decreased by 74.2% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 94,389 tons to 24,348 tons. It decreased by 56.8% compared to the previous month.

In January-May period, total wire rod imports decreased by 45.4% from 319,885 tons to 174,723 tons.

The leading importing country for wire rod in May was the UK with 5,985 tons, followed by South Korea with 5,194 tons, Kazakhstan with 4,883 tons, Germany with 2,478 tons and China with 2,160 tons.
