Wire mesh producers faced with low demand

Despite the increases in all steel products, wire mesh prices remain flat. Although producers prevented the price decrease, they could not be among the products that gained momentum.
Market representatives told SteelRadar that the most important reason for the flat course of wire mesh prices despite the increase in coil prices is the excess supply.
Faced with intense demand during the earthquake period, producers worked at full capacity for a long period and produced in high tonnage. After the intense demand explosion was fulfilled, sales stopped. The decrease in the interest and need for wire mesh in the markets for a while forced the factories to continue at horizontal prices. Although there was an increase in stocking costs, the balance of supply and demand was restored. Demand is slightly lower.

Prices in PAYAS region; 20.500,00 TL + VAT,

In GEBZE region, prices are 20.750,00 TL +VAT
