According to the U.S. Department of Commerce data, US exports of hot-dip galvanized steel totaled 93,075 tons in December 2023, down by 18.5% from November 2023 and up by 19.9% from December 2022.
The export value of the hot-dip galvanized sheet in December was recorded as $124.1 million, which was $153.5 million in the previous month and $110.2 million in the same month last year.
In December, the largest hot-dip galvanized steel exports were made from the US to Mexico with 46,464 tons, while this figure was 55,508 tons in November and 32,155 tons in December 2022. Other major export destinations included Canada with 45,781 tons.
