Türkiye's wire rod imports increased by 93.72% in 2023

According to data obtained by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod imports increased by 33.30% y-o-y to 32.144 tons in December. Also, compared to the previous month, a 75.9% increase is recorded.

In 2023, Türkiye imported 93.72% more wire rod than in 2022. While the total wire rod imported in 2022 was 366.196 tons, this figure reached 709.385 tons in 2023.

In 2023, the highest imports were recorded in May, while the lowest imports were observed in November. In 2022, the highest imports were made in January, while the lowest imports occurred in November.
