Çolakoğlu, who serves as Chairman of the Board of Çolakoğlu Holding and is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Turkish American Steering Committee (TASC), thanked President Trump during the meeting, stating that he had contributed to the resolution of eight conflicts globally over the past ten months. Çolakoğlu conveyed that President Trump is regarded as one of the most influential U.S. presidents in this field, particularly due to his initiatives aimed at establishing peace in the Middle East.
During the meeting, Çolakoğlu noted that the steps taken to strengthen Turkish–American relations during Trump’s term in office enhanced dialogue and mutual understanding between the two allied countries. He emphasized that the positive atmosphere that has emerged recently has created new opportunities for economic and trade relations. In this context, he shared his assessments regarding the institutional and individual initiatives undertaken by the private sector in line with the goal of increasing the trade volume between Türkiye and the United States to USD 100 billion.

President Trump expressed his pleasure at the visit and conveyed his greetings to Türkiye. Emphasizing the importance of maintaining engagement and direct channels of dialogue to further strengthen Turkish-American relations, Trump stated that he would be pleased to welcome Haydar Çolakoğlu again in Washington, D.C.
