SSAB and Zetterbergs co-operate for fossil-free steel

SSAB and body manufacturer Zetterbergs Industri AB are starting to co-operate for the delivery of fossil-free steel.

SSAB and Zetterbergs co-operate for fossil-free steel

Thanks to this co-operation, Zetterberg will be able to offer its customers fossil-free truck bodies in the future. The co-operation between body manufacturer Zetterbergs Industri AB and SSAB has a long history. SSAB has been an important steel supplier for many years and also commissioned Zetterbergs for Hardox® In My Body. Now they are taking their steps even further and becoming partners in the delivery of fossil-free steel.

"Being one of the first manufacturers in Sweden to be able to offer fossil-free truck bodies to our customers feels like a natural and important step in our development," says Lars Erfäldt, CEO of Zetterbergs. We want to be part of this exciting development and contribute to the change and transformation that is currently taking place."

SSAB's Special Steels division has been working for a long time to create different Hardox® products and these are constantly being updated. One of the latest products is Hardox® 500 Tuf, which is particularly suitable for products manufactured by Zetterbergs, where Zetterbergs was one of the first dump truck manufacturers to start using Hardox 500 Tuf.

"The fact that we can take the next step in developing our long-standing and already good relationship and offer Zetterbergs the first deliveries of fossil-free steel is very positive for our ongoing co-operation and especially for the climate," says Per Elfgren, Market Development Manager at SSAB Special Steels.
