As the company takes action under its new period Strategic growth and global positioning plans, it is demonstrating a notable performance at every level, from the chairman of the board and the general manager to directors and blue-collar employees.
This performance is evident across the organization. Recently visiting the company’s offices in France and Morocco, Chairman of the Board Ergun Arıburnu stated that the Romania office serves as Omsan’s gateway to Europe. He emphasized that ERDEMİR Romania, the representative of the iron and steel sector, which is one of OYAK’s strategically strong products, operates there and that Omsan provides services to this rapidly growing company as well. He noted that the plant produces electrical steel, one of the most advanced types from a metallurgical perspective, and that Omsan delivers services to global giants of the sector at this point. Arıburnu stated that Omsan manages all logistics processes end to end, from raw material transportation to final product delivery, and added that they also visited ERDEMİR Romania to work on perfecting supply processes in line with European standards.
Pointing out that he has flown nearly 20,000 kilometers over the past month to visit service offices and solution partners, Arıburnu underlined that this approach goes against the recent habit of holding business meetings continuously online. He emphasized that while it is possible to learn and evaluate a steel plant’s data and status online, it is not possible to fully understand what happens inside the plant and its processes without being on site. He stated that without putting on a helmet, experiencing the environment, and directly interacting with employees, regardless of the level of automation, critical insights cannot be gained. He added that without seeing how finished vehicles are loaded onto wagons, it is difficult to fully grasp the information discussed in quality process meetings. Arıburnu emphasized that Omsan carries not only cargo but also responsibility, which is why the company remains present in the field.
Sharing his impressions of the Omsan Romania Office and ERDEMİR Romania, Arıburnu emphasized that ERDEMİR is not only a source of pride for the company but also for the nation. He stated that serving ERDEMİR means serving not only Omsan and OYAK, but also the country. He noted that in addition to automotive transportation from Romania, Omsan also carries out finished vehicle yard operations and is achieving strong results in this field as well. Arıburnu emphasized that he and his colleagues approach this location with a special sense of responsibility and closeness, stating that everything is progressing very well and that they are moving forward toward excellence with determination and confidence.
