Rail shipments of steel pipes by United Metallurgical Company (OMK) enterprises in March 2024 increased to 138 thousand tonnes, exceeding the February level by 28%. In the first quarter of 2024, OMK's shipments totalled 354.1 thousand tonnes, down 6% year-on-year.
The most important consumers of OMK's pipe products in the first quarter of 2024 remain local oil and gas companies such as Gazprom, Surgutneftegaz, Gazprom Neft, Lukoil and Rosneft. Their combined share in the total volume of deliveries totalled 63% already in January.
Export shipments of OMK's pipe products in the first quarter of 2024 increased significantly to 20.7 thousand tonnes, up 3.2 times year-on-year. More than 60% of exports went to Azerbaijan, where supplies totalled 12.7 thousand tonnes.
