JSW Steel partners with SMS Group to expand production capacity at Dolvi Plant

The project will include the installation of one of India's largest BOF converters with a capacity of 350 tons, a twin ladle furnace and a gas cleaning plant, while SMS Group's advanced oxygen lance system and automation solutions are expected to improve the plant's production efficiency and quality consistency. It was also announced that production strategies and metallurgical control will be improved through process optimization models.

Significant highlights of this development include an advanced oxygen lance system with a maximum blowing capacity of 1,250 Nm³/min, which will significantly improve the plant's production efficiency.

Planning to be operational in 2026, the plant is expected to contribute to JSW's production of high quality steel.
