Ukraine’s iron and steel production showed divergent trends across product groups during the January–November 2025 period.
According to data released by the Ukrainian Metallurgical and Steel Producers Association (Ukrmetprom), some segments experienced growth while others saw declines.
During this period, pig iron production increased by 10.2%, rising from 6.524 million tons to 7.188 million tons compared to the same period last year. In contrast, steel production fell by 3.1%, declining from 7.028 million tons to 6.813 million tons. Rolled products output rose from 5.741 million tons to 5.966 million tons, marking a 3.9% increase.
Daily average production figures reflected similar trends. Daily pig iron output increased from 19.5 thousand tons to 21.5 thousand tons, a 10.3% rise. Daily average steel production decreased from 21.0 thousand tons to 20.4 thousand tons, a 2.8% decline. Daily rolled products output grew from 17.1 thousand tons to 17.9 thousand tons, representing a 4.6% increase.
