According to information compiled by SteelRadar analysts from preliminary foreign trade data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Customs Directorate, Türkiye's steel import value in June increased by 11.6% compared to the same month last year, reaching 1.87 billion USD.
In the aforementioned month, the value of iron and steel imports ranked fifth among the country's top imported products by value.
The value of iron and steel imports decreased by 4.47% compared to the same period last year, reaching USD 11.17 billion in the January-June period of 2025.
In the same month, the value of imports of goods made of iron or steel ranked 14th on the list of products with the highest import value in the country. In the same month, the import value of iron or steel goods increased by 2.28% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching USD 307.95 million, while it decreased by 0.50% in the January-June period, falling to USD 2.02 billion.
