According to information compiled by SteelRadar analysts from preliminary foreign trade data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Customs Directorate, Türkiye's steel export value in June increased by 15.13% compared to the same month last year, reaching 983.22 million USD.
In that month, the value of iron and steel exports ranked fifth among the country's highest-value export products.
In the January-June period of this year, the value of iron and steel exports increased by 14.28% y/y to USD 5.48 billion.
In that month, the value of iron or steel goods exports ranked seventh among the country's highest-value export products.
In June, the export value of iron or steel goods increased by 3.28% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching USD 749.29 million, while in the first six months of the year, it decreased by 3.64% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching USD 4.62 billion.
