Turkey's steel exports fell in November

According to the data, Turkey's steel products exports fell by 40% in November, while imports decreased by 7.5%.

Turkey's foreign trade statistics for steel products in November have been announced. According to these figures, while 1,484,012 tons of steel products were exported in November 2021, it decreased by 40.4% in November 2022 to 884,711 tons.

The stagnation in the steel industry in 2022 and the decrease in demand due to price increases were reflected in the figures.

While steel products imports reached the level of 1,189,942 tons in November 2021, the imports in November 2022 were determined as 1,100,585 tons. The difference corresponds to a decrease of 7.5%.

Foreign trade of steel products in 11 months

When looking at Turkey's foreign trade of steel products in 11 months, there can be seen a decrease of 19.9% in exports and 4% in imports.

While a total of 18,046,368 tons of steel products were exported in January-November 2021, it decreased by 19.9% to 14,459,298 tons in the 11-month period of 2022.

When looking at the import figures of 11 months, a total of 14,132,644 tons of steel products were imported in 2021, while 13,573,723 tons were imported in 2022 with a decrease of 4%.

In 2021 and 2022, the most imports and exports were seen among long semi-products.
