Tata Steel announced its financial results for the April-June period of the 2025-26 fiscal year on July 30, 2025. The company increased its net profit by 118% to INR 2,007 crore (approximately USD 229 million) in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period last year.
Small Drop in Revenues
Tata Steel's revenues from its core operations decreased by 2.9% to INR 53,178 crore (approximately USD 6.1 billion) in the first three months of fiscal 2025-26. This figure was INR 54,771 crore (approximately USD 6.2 billion) in the same period of the previous year.
Expense Decrease Supported Profitability
A 3.89% decrease in total expenses played a key role in the strong increase in the company's net profit. Total expenses amounted to INR 50,347 crore (approximately USD 5.7 billion) in the first quarter of fiscal 2025-26, compared to INR 52,389 crore (approximately USD 6 billion) in the same period last year.
