SÜLZLE Stahlpartner has acquired the steel company Josef Fien based in Bad Säckingen

Josef Fien, a long-established steel bending company, will strengthen SÜLZLE’s network in southern Germany while also expanding the group’s stainless steel product portfolio.

Heinrich Sülzle, Managing Partner of the SÜLZLE Group, said: “This step allows us to bring a strong team into our organization while also creating new market opportunities.” With 19 branches across Germany, the company aims to expand both its service network and product range through this acquisition.

Uwe Fien, Branch Manager of the Bad Säckingen site, commented: “Joining the SÜLZLE family is a great opportunity for us. Becoming part of a strong network creates new prospects for both our employees and our customers.”

Founded in 1978, Josef Fien GmbH has been serving the Swiss market in particular and is recognized as one of Germany’s leading suppliers of stainless steel reinforcing bars. The company stocks and processes all materials and delivers nationwide, with products used in sensitive applications such as tunnels, basements, and parking structures.

With more than 145 years of experience, SÜLZLE Stahlpartner is one of Germany’s leading steel distribution and processing companies. Offering a wide range of products—from customized reinforcement cages to steel beams, pipes, and bars—the company also supplies materials for major infrastructure projects and enables its customers to contribute to CO₂ reduction. The SÜLZLE Group operates at more than 30 locations in Germany and France, employing around 1,000 people.
