Poland increased its steel production in March

In January-March, the country's steelmakers reduced steel production by 13.3% y-o-y.

In March 2023, Polish steel enterprises increased steel production by 2.1 times compared to the previous month to 905 thousand tons.

As of March 2023, steel production in Poland increased by 28.9% y-o-y.

In January-March 2023, Polish steelmakers smelted 1.82 million tons of steel. This is 13.3% lower than in the same period in 2022.

In 2022, Poland reduced its steel production by 8.6% compared to 2021, to 7.73 million tons. Thus, the country ranked 22nd in the WorldSteel global ranking of steel producers.
