OZ Minerals reports further decline in copper smelting costs

Australian mining company OZ Minerals reported that copper smelting costs will fall further.

OZ Minerals reports further decline in copper smelting costs

Asian smelters are unable to secure sufficient raw materials. Therefore, Australian mining company OZ Minerals Limited said in a statement that the cost of smelting copper concentrates into metal will continue to fall.

Spot commodity sales in the second quarter were below US$25/tonne and 2.5 US cents per pound. Spot market prices are expected to fall further.

The annual price for January was US$75/tonne and 7.5 US cents per pound.
