Algeria’s Minister of Industry, Sifi Ghrib, hosted Ahmed Abdelaziz Ezz, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Iron and Steel Union, at the ministry. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation among Arab countries in the iron and steel sector.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Industry, the discussion covered how to further develop the iron and steel industry across the Arab world and how production and resources could be used more efficiently among member states. It was emphasized that the region's natural resources and production capacities offer valuable opportunities for progress.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening the role of the Union’s General Secretariat, which is headquartered in Algeria. Reinforcing Algeria’s position in this field is expected to contribute positively to the advancement of joint projects.
