SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation of the Philippines has contracted SMS Group for a new small rolling mill. The plant will have an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes and will be SteelAsia's seventh rolling mill.
The rolling mill will be built in the Phoenix Petroterminal Industrial Park in the Calaca Region and is scheduled to be operational in 2018.
The rolling mill is designed for a production rate of 100 tonnes per hour across a wide range of products.
