Ezz Steel announced that it has received marine approval from Lloyd’s Register for its hot-rolled coil products. The certification covers marine-grade plate production up to a thickness of 16 mm and confirms compliance with quality requirements used in shipbuilding and marine applications.
The Lloyd’s Register approval verifies that Ezz Steel’s production, testing, and certification processes for steel plates, strips, and semi-finished products are in line with international marine standards. Production carried out using electric arc furnace, ladle furnace, and continuous casting facilities has been approved for carbon and carbon-manganese steel grades. The certificate was issued on 17 December 2025 and will remain valid until 10 November 2028.
Ezz Steel had previously obtained marine approval for the same product group from Bureau Veritas. With the addition of the Lloyd’s Register certification, the company’s marine-grade hot-rolled coil production has now been validated by two internationally recognized classification societies.
The approval is expected to support Al Ezz Dekheila Steel’s supply capacity for shipbuilding and offshore projects and to enhance the company’s visibility in international markets.
